Why The RWS Invites Membership Is Value For Money

rws-invites-membership-value-for-money

Resorts World Sentosa holds a special place in the Heartland Couple’s hearts. They celebrated many important milestones at this lifestyle destination resort. It started with Heartland Boy proposing to Heartland Girl at Ocean Restaurant. Their journey with RWS culminated with their wedding reception at Tangerine restaurant in ESPA. It was a beautiful restaurant that allowed them to hold the kind of wedding they envisaged. As a bonus, this one-off expenditure allowed them to qualify for the RWS Invites membership. Throughout the year, Heartland Boy has been working his RWS Invites membership hard to achieve incredible savings. Here is his review of the RWS Invites Membership and why he thinks the membership is great value for money.

All-Day Parking For Only $1.50

RWS Invites Member can redeem all-day parking at Resorts World Sentosa any time, any day (including public holidays) for only $1.50 Invites dollars. Honestly, this is the biggest perk of being an Invites Member. The cost savings are incredible especially when the fee for the first hour of parking is typically $7- $8. The $1.50 all-day parking rate is indeed value for money.

Ever since Heartland Boy became a RWS Invites member, he would now park the family car at RWS if he is watching a movie at Vivocity. After parking his car, he would take the tram out and return to the carpark by enjoying the leisurely stroll along the free Sentosa Boardwalk.  This is a routine that has saved him not just tons of money, but also tons of calories.

Fun Fact #1: This is a great saving tip that made his in-laws very proud.

Earn rebates at over 100 participating outlets

RWS Invites members can earn a minimum 3% rebate at over 100 participating outlets. These places range from restaurants, hotels, retail shops to attractions housed inside RWS. The rebates will accumulate in the form of RWS Invites$ and a member can monitor it via the online RWS Invites members portal. Therefore, if you choose to have a romantic dinner at one of the Michelin-star restaurants in RWS, you can offset the bill by earning some RWS Invites$.

This was exactly what the Heartland Couple did. They would usually choose one of the restaurants inside RWS to celebrate a special occasion. Heartland Girl’s ultimate favourite restaurant in the entire RWS is Syun. She had her birthday celebration at this Japanese restaurant 2 years ago and it was an unforgettable culinary experience.

During Heartland Boy’s birthday, he also received a birthday gift which consists of various birthday vouchers. Below is a photo whereby the Heartland Couple dined at Forest.

Receive over $150 Worth Of Welcome Vouchers

All RWS Invites members will receive over $150 worth of vouchers as a welcome gift pack. The gift pack consists of vouchers that entitle one to discounts at various restaurants and attractions. For instance, using the welcome voucher would entitle the member a 30% discount on the entrance tickets to Trick Eye Museum. Heartland Boy utilized a specific voucher which gave him $30 off with minimum spend of $100 at TungLok Heen. TungLok Heen restaurant was where Heartland Boy and his family celebrated his mum’s 60th birthday. The family really enjoyed the excellent dining experience at a restaurant helmed by celebrity chef Susur Lee.

Fun Fact #2- Heartland Boy once worked as a runner at Club Chinois, the previous incarnation of TungLok Heen

Get Upgraded To RWS Invites Gold

RWS Invites member who achieves an annual eligible spend of S$5,000 may be upgraded to the RWS Invites Gold Card. RWS Invites Gold members earn higher Invites$ at participating outlets, as well as enjoy free all-day parking in Resort World Sentosa. RWS Invites$ member also gain priority access to RWS attractions such as Universal Studio Singapore, S.E.A Aquarium etc. If you have witnessed the insane queues at these popular attractions, this is indeed an invaluable benefit to its attractions that will save your family plenty of time. The greatest and most exciting privilege is exclusive invites to signature events and dining experiences at celebrity chef restaurants. It is quite pertinent that RWS leverages on these exclusive invitations to make the RWS Invites Gold members feel pampered and appreciated.

As Heartland Boy held his wedding at RWS, he managed to meet the annual eligible spend and was upgraded to a RWS Invites Gold Card. It was his ticket to many exciting events that he would probably never have access to.

During June 2017, Heartland Boy and Heartland Girl were invited to the premier of CHEF: Bibimbap vs Chili Crab. This is a non-verbal theatrical performance produced by the same company behind the famed NANTA Cooking performance in Korea. Heartland Boy watched the NANTA cooking show in Korea and so he knew that he would be in for a great time. To up the local flavor, the production features popular local twin starlets Jayley and Hayley Woo. It was the first time that the Heartland Couple ever attended any premier event and it certainly made for a fun date night out.

At the end of 2016, Hard Rock Hotel Singapore completed its refurbishment and the Starz Restaurant was renamed Sessions. Sessions is a 3-in-1 dining destination and the highlight has to be its cooking studio. The cooking studio organizes team-building activities where friends and employees compete and cook alongside each other under the tutelage of celebrity chefs.  As part of RWS’s marketing campaign to promote the cooking studio, Heartland Boy was invited to the “RWS Invites Executive Chef’s Kitchen Event”. It was a perfect match as Heartland Boy loves cooking.

Fun Fact #3: The refurbishment was carried out by ISOTeam, one of the stocks in Heartland Boy’s portfolio.

On this occasion, Heartland Boy brought his mum along so that she could broaden her culinary experience and learn Western cuisine from a top chef.  From the fun that he had that evening, Heartland Boy is certain that the cooking studio will make for a very interesting corporate event.

Great Value For Money

In 2017, there is a current promotion which allows one to sign up by paying only $5 with any spend instead of the usual $8. Because of the welcome gift, you are guaranteed to break-even on your membership cost as long as you utilized any of the vouchers. Even without that, a member who drives is guaranteed to incur dramatic cost savings given the $1.50 all-day parking privilege. The summary of privileges outlined above means that it is worth it to pay the membership fee and become a RWS Invites member.

This is not a sponsored post. All views expressed here are entirely his own. Heartland Boy simply thinks that the RWS Invites Membership is value for money.

Hi, How to earn the R$1.50 for full day free parking? How much do I need to spend? $15? $150?

Hey, I think the parking has increased to $2.50 in the revised RWS Invites package. Using a rebate rate of 3%, you probably need to incur spending of $83.30.

Seriously a useless card which only tells you about participating outlets and the cost od joining without telling you how it works in their heavily make up but under inform website, if you have yet to sign up, please don’t and be swayed by this blog, sorry to undermine the above seemingly easy way to get free parking but I think I rather illegally park and get a fine from LTA, SPF than to pay the cheapo RWS for their overly hyped RWS invites, more like RWS Escort
